News Umicore Galvanotechnik at Eye Level with the International Electronics Industry About 1,500 exhibitors from 35 nations presented themselves at the world's leading trade fair for electronics production in Munich for the 17th time. Among them with a large fair stand – almost by tradition – Umicore Galvanotechnik GmbH from Schwaebisch Gmuend. This trade fair reflects the entire value-added chain in electronics and is at the same time both platform and pulse generator of this particularly dynamic industry. Attracting almost 50,000 international trade visitors, the fair was well-attended again this year. Umicore Galvanotechnik presented itself to its national and international guests with a revamped stand concept on an area of more than 120 m². It showed its new developments for gold wire-bondable final finishes which met with very great approval. With modern precious metal processes for functional applications in the fields of connectors and printed circuit boards, the company from Schwaebisch Gmuend has been a valued system specialist in the electronics industry for a long time. To intensify these activities even more, during the last few years sales partnerships with leading companies in the printed circuit board supply industry have been concluded. Through these co-operations with the Japanese firms Uyemura and Taiyo, Umicore Galvanotechnik can now offer a complete delivery programme of electroless and electrolytic processes for final printed circuit board finishes. Functional final finishes on printed circuit boards demand special adaptations of the processes used and require comprehensive technical and economic advisory competence. In these surroundings, Umicore Galvanotechnik has developed into a successful system supplier of the printed circuit board industry.
At Productronica 2007, Umicore Galvanotechnik GmbH presented itself to its international guests from Japan, Korea and the USA together with its partners Uyemura and Taiyo.
